Enjoy it While it Lasts

This weeks deep dive is the Life Story of Ami with an I, a woman that grew up in a Mormon household that she now describes as cult-like. Despite endure child hood, and later marital abuse, Ami has maintained an upbeat attitude, and growth mentality. 
She gives us her insight on the church itself, and why she describes Mormonism the way she does,  as well as her journey to being able to break free from the cycles of abuse, ending it for herself and her children

My sister and I sit talk about all of the many sub genres of horror, or as many as we could in about an hour and a half. We talk about the classics of each, and our favorites, and touch on what makes a movie fit into a sub genre. 
 
Lets chill and talk about something we enjoy, scaring ourselves! 

Michelle is one of the friendliest people you could meet. She is also very hard working. She is also a hard worker, she started working as a teenager and now has advanced enough in her career to become a homeowner before turning 30. She tells us what drives her, and how it can sometimes become a hinderance. Michelle is very open about her insecurities, her beliefs, her hopes, and really allows us to get to know her.

Herman and Tricia get serious at the start by addressing the Charlie Kirk assasination and all it's fall out. Things get back to normal and casual with World other U.S. news. Somehow a gorilla and a scuba diver both have to do with Disney?
 

Herman sits down with his kids to get their thoughts on the characters and events of AoT season 1. 

Herman and Tricia talk about viral news stories, including an animal section, public health news concerning beaches, human rights news in the United States, and a couple of stories that make us glad we don't live in Philly. After the news, the siblings trade funny stories and hypotheticals. 

Tricia and Herman go over a range of topics in the news, like Zombie Spiders, Holographic Spiders, and 1 second time travel. A story about the Netflix house leads to a discussion on what their kids are allowed to watch, and each low key judges the other. 
They touch on the most viral news story, Taylor Swifts engagement, in their own way. Tricia examines the ring, and Herman looks at the business plan behind the relationship. 
The show ends with a couple of stories that leads to explaining their differing opinions on race swapping characters, and how the Disney problem with the male audience is not Female leads, its the quality of their content.

Herman and Tricia talk about their kids goin back to school, and the transition time just before, Tricia has had to deal with manhandling children apparently. As a warning, we do spend a little time talking about school shootings, since it is an unavoidable topic in every parents brain. If you do want to skip that part, it starts with Tricia describing a PSA she saw, at 23 minutes 30 seconds in. At 38 minutes 20 seconds we shift gears to talk about or favorite subjects, and the changes what we would make if made the "Czar of Education"
Tricia and Herman end the show with stories of times teachers have went above and beyond

Tricia tells Herman about whats going on in the news. Stories include Trump's meeting with Putin (podcast was recorded just before the meeting), New virus is China, the newest releases of the JFK files, and possible changes in marijuana law
